About Us
Living with an invisible chronic illness can be extrelemly isolating.
MyTEAM’s mission is to confidentially support frum girls and women with invisible chronic illness, such as Crohn’s disease, juvenile arthritis, and diabetes. We offer support through one-on-one mentor and peer connections, daily interactive emails, monthly teleconferences and events.
MyTeam’s unique framework provides our members with a safe space to to accept their illness as well as discover joy and meaning as they grow together throughout their journey.
Services
Mentors
Connecting girls with mentors with similar medical conditions who provide perspective, advice, and support.
Teamates
Pairing girls with a ‘teammate’ who has a similar condition. Providing opportunities to bond over shared experiences.
Teleconferences
Hosting sought after community leaders, social workers, and mechanchos who provide a unique perspective, chizuk, and coping skills.00/
School Initiative
Providing resources for teachers and parents to work effectively in addressing the needs of students with chronic illness.
Events
Arranging several yearly parties where teammates can get together to meet and support each other but most of all, have fun!
Mailings
Sending pick-me-up letters and poems written by fellow teammates. We also send stunning care packages biannually.
